2010 Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards

The annual Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards are unique. Now in its fifth year, these are the only awards for the Asia-Pacific region that recognise, at the same event, the excellent achievements of both individuals and organisations engaged in the spatial information industry across the region. The key principles are:

The APSEA awards are presented in two categories
Individual Awards
These awards are managed by the
Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) and recognise
excellence and contribution by individuals in the spatial information
industry in the following categories:
• Education and Professional Development
• Service to the Spatial Community
• Spatial Professional of the Year
• Young Spatial Professional of the Year
• Spatial Student awards – undergraduate and postgraduate
• Spatial Teacher of the Year
• Professional Eminence and Excellence in the Spatial Sciences
Industry awards
These are project based awards managed by the Australian Spatial Information Business Association (ASIBA) and are conferred in the following categories:

• Land Titling and Development
• People and Community
• Infrastructure and Construction
• Environmental Sustainability
• Spatially Enabling Government
